Stratford-upon-Avon

Stratford-upon-Avon is a historical market town located 91 miles north west of London. Its history goes back over 800 years, and in medieval times it was a popular trading town which helped urbanized the area outside of London. It’s also famous because it is the town Shakespeare grew up in. In fact, some of the buildings still survive that would have been familiar to him. Nowadays, the town has been turned into a popular tourist spot. There are many great shops, cafes, historical sites to visit, and even a beautiful park.
The historical Falcon Hotel.

I began my visit to Stratford-upon-Avon at a local coffee shop, that had to most delicious cappuccino (I wish I remembered the name!). Then I did some shopping at some of the nice clothing stores, until it was about lunch time when a group of us went to a cat café. Yes, a cat café called Shake’s Paw Café! It was a charming place, and they had the nicest cats all of which were up for adoption! Afterwards we all took a stroll through the nearby park. The park was gorgeous, check out the pictures below!
There is a large variety of swans, ducks, geese and birds that swim in the river.

The Clopton Bridge located on the edge of the park.

Stratford-upon-Avon was a charming town to visit! I really had no plans upon arrival, but it turned out to be a nice place to stroll around town, shop and have lunch.
